UCF Blended Learning Toolkit

The University of Central Florida’s Blended Learning Toolkit is a free, open repository of information, resources, models, and research related to blended learning. Funded by a Next Generation Learning Challenge Wave 1 grant, the Toolkit is a collaboration between the University of Central Florida and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities.


Educause is a nonprofit association whose mission is "to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology." The association provides a social networking Connect site; print and electronic publications; strategic policy advocacy; teaching and learning initiatives; applied research; special interest discussion groups; awards for leadership and transformative uses of information technology; and a resource center for IT professionals in higher education.

Khan Academy

Khan academy is a collection of more than 4500 micro-lectures on a broad range of subjects from mathematics to computer science to art history. The site generates exercises for students based on their skill level and performance, and guides them through the mastery of a subject.


Codecademy is an online interactive platform that offers free coding classes in programming languages like Python, PHP, JavaScript, and Ruby, as well as markup languages including HTML and CSS. To motivate users to participate, the site offers feedback, badges for completing exercises, as well as a function that keeps track of a user's total score and displays it to others. The site also allows anyone to create and publish a new course using a Course Creator tool.
