Educational Technology is responsible for providing support for a number of technologies used in instruction at Missouri S&T. We are often the first point of contact for customers who experience difficulty with any of the technologies listed below.

The Educational Technology instructional design team can also help you find the right tool for the job. Need a discussion board? Try the one embedded in the learning management system, or try a more interactive approach using VoiceThread (enabled in Canvas). Want a rigorous, adaptable, flexible survey? Try Qualtrics! Interested in lecture capture? Tegrity might be the tool for you!


 


Miscellaneous Support Documents:

Computer Learning Centers (CLCs) - See where software is installed, which hardware is installed, and submit requests for CLC software.

SMART Notebook - Podiums and Boards equipped with SMART Notebook allow for more interactive presentations with annotations, added media options, and much more.

SMART Sync - Manage student computers from the instructor station in a classroom (only available in certain rooms on campus).

Virtual Learning Environments (VLE):

  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) - Use a remote desktop client to access a pool of virtual computers.
  • WebEx - Virtual classroom that allows students and instructor to interact with each other through desktop sharing, chat tools, electronic whiteboards, and more.

Windows 7 - Language Selection (PDF) - How to choose a different language option for the keyboard. This is particularly useful for students enrolled in foreign language course that uses a different alphabet (e.g. Russian, French, or Spanish).
