Respondus is a tool for creating and managing exams that can be printed out or published directly to Blackboard (or other content management systems such as ANGEL or WebCT).  Missouri S&T has a campus license for Respondus, meaning any faculty member can have it installed.  It is not currently part of our standard desktop or laptop build.

Contact the IT Help Desk for assistance.  They can install Respondus on your laptop or desktop for you.  It only takes a few minutes.

• How to Import Questions from a Word Processor -- Questions MUST be formatted properly or Respondus will not be able to "read" the file properly.  Each question type (multiple choice, T/F, essay, etc.) has a particular format.
  • NOTE: If you are using Microsoft Word, you may want to turn off the automatic numbering feature to prevent problems uploading into Respondus. To do this in Microsoft Word:
    • Click Tools.
    • Click AutoCorrect Options.
    • Click the AutoFormat As You Type tab.
    • UNCHECK Automatic numbered Lists.
    • Click OK.
