The Educational Technology Development Team would not be possible without the active support of a number of groups and individuals both on and off campus.
Partner Organizations:
Blackboard -- Course management system for the University of Missouri
Center for Educational Research & Teaching Innovation (CERTI) -- The faculty development center for Missouri S&T engages with faculty to improve the quality of teaching on campus and addresses issues related to the campus learning environment
Center for Technology Enhanced Learning (CTEL) -- Researchers create prototype systems, evaluate them, and conduct additional research related to learning technologies.
Distance & Continuing Education (DCE) -- Offers graduate degrees in several different programs for distance students, as well as professional development certifications.
Education Department -- Provides teaching certificates for individuals interested in becoming qualified K-12 instructors.
Information Technology (IT) -- IT is responsible for maintaining all of the critical systems on campus related to computers and computing services. This includes email as well as network storage and enterprise-level data and reporting services.
Missouri S&T Bookstore -- The official campus bookstore of Missouri University of Science and Technology, located on the first floor of the Havener Center.
South-Central Regional Professional Development Center (RPDC) -- Offers professional development activities and workshops for local K-12 school districts, among other services.
Turning Technologies -- Integrates personal response systems (clickers) with PowerPoint software to provide instructors and students with improved interactivity within traditional classroom environments.
Video Communications Center -- Supports distance education activities for Missouri S&T through the use of videoconference-capable classrooms. Also assists faculty with the production and distribution of multimedia course information.
Writing Across the Curriculum Program -- Also known as the Writing Center, this program provides editing assistance for students on their papers and professional documents, such as theses and resumes. They also have one of the most highly advanced computer centers on campus, which is equipped with a wide variety of technological tools to support learning.
