Faculty Quicklinks

At Missouri S&T, we maintain numerous electronic tools and technologies to assist instructors with helping students realize their goals and encourage active learning. This site provides a listing of common help tutorials—by topic—intended to enable instructors to effectively use these tools and technologies in the classroom.

Canvas (Learning Management System)

Canvas is the Learning Management System in use at Missouri S&T.

  • Basic Canvas Resources - Because Canvas is always changing (in a good way, based on customer feedback!), it is best to simply link to their help resources. We've collected some of the most common issues that are of use to our particular institution. Some Canvas tools and resources simply don't apply because they are intended for K-12 audiences and schools.
  • Canvas Course Combine Tool - IT and EdTech have developed a tool for combining multiple sections into a single course inside Canvas.

The S&T Store - Faculty Resources

The S&T Store has a convenient web page listing a number of useful resources for faculty to help them gather the instructional materials for a course. Note that The S&T Store is also quite adept at helping you create customized course textbooks that fit YOUR teaching style!

S&T connect Early Alert System

Starting in Fall 2014, Missouri S&T is implementing new academic advising system called S&T Connect. This can be accessed by logging in to Canvas and clicking the S&T Connect logo in the navigation bar on the left side of the page.

Intercampus Course Sharing

The Intercampus Course Sharing program is an initiative between all University of Missouri campuses where courses may be offered jointly amongst campuses. For instance, instead of having all courses in a degree program offered only on a single campus, other campuses may offer similar courses in the degree program that will satisfy the requirements of the degree. Here are some relevant links to help you get started in this program.
