A number of classrooms, including technology classrooms, are equipped to run
TurningPoint presentations instead of the usual PowerPoint presentations. A
TurningPoint presentation is a modified PowerPoint presentation that allows
students to interact with the presentation via a personal response device
colloquially known as a clicker. This clicker is used to answer polling
and quiz questions posed during the PowerPoint presentation.

between:
- None -- anonymous polling
- Auto -- will gather the Response Card ID’s from everyone who response
during the session and will record all answers gathered from that Response
Card
- Apply a Participant list that you created for that group

- Click on the Lightening Bolt (the Response Device Wizard) and verify the
range equals or exceeds the number of participants:

- IMPORTANT -- Reset your session.

- When you are done with your presentation, Save your session.
IMPORTANT -- Always save the TurningPoint session from the TurningPoint
toolbar.

Troubleshooting:
- Is the receiver well seated in its USB port?
A loose USB connection between the receiver and the instructor station means
the clickers are unable to "talk" to the instructor station. Check this
first.
- Are the clickers set to the correct channel?
The default channel is 41. However, in some circumstances it may be
necessary to set the clicker channel to a different channel due to localized
radio interference from another device (e.g. a wireless access point). Each
clicker-enabled classroom should have a prominent poster indicating the channel
for that classroom.
- If you experience technical difficulties beyond those described above,
please contact the IT Help Desk at 341-HELP or submit an online Help Request at
https://help.mst.edu for assistance.
The TurningPoint Show
bar:
The show bar is only seen in slide-show mode. These items are accessible
through the function keys on the keyboard and are explained below. If you run
your mouse over the Show Bar, you should see a tool tip with the corresponding
function key (F1 - F12). Click one of the links below to see an
image of the TurningPoint shortcut keys or PowerPoint shortcut keys
(TurningPoint shortcut keys will only work when TurningPoint is open).
