The Educational Technology Development Team would not be possible without the active support of a number of groups and individuals both on and off campus.


Center for Educational Research & Teaching Innovation (CERTI) - The faculty development center for Missouri S&T engages with faculty to improve the quality of teaching on campus and addresses issues related to the campus learning environment

Distance & Continuing Education (DCE) - Offers graduate degrees in several different programs for distance students, as well as professional development certifications.

Education Department - Provides teaching certificates for individuals interested in becoming qualified K-12 instructors.

Information Technology (IT) - IT is responsible for maintaining all of the critical systems on campus related to computers and computing services. This includes email as well as network storage and enterprise-level data and reporting services.

Laboratory for Information Technology Evaluation (LITE) - Researchers create prototype systems, evaluate them, and conduct additional research related to learning technologies.

The S&T Store - The official campus bookstore of Missouri University of Science and Technology, located on the first floor of the Havener Center.

South-Central Regional Professional Development Center (RPDC) - Offers professional development activities and workshops for local K-12 school districts, among other services.

Video Communications Center - Supports distance education activities for Missouri S&T through the use of videoconference-capable classrooms. Also assists faculty with the production and distribution of multimedia course information.

Writing Across the Curriculum Program - Also known as the Writing Center, this program provides editing assistance for students on their papers and professional documents, such as theses and resumes. They also have one of the most highly advanced computer centers on campus, which is equipped with a wide variety of technological tools to support learning.


ET@MO - Educational Technologies at Missouri: a division of the Office of the Provost at University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou), our sister campus up north. EdTech often works with Mizzou to resolve issues and collaborate on learning technologies.

UMKC Instructional Technology Services - This is EdTech's counterpart at University of Missouri-Kansas City. EdTech often works with UMKC to resolve issues and collaborate on learning technologies.

UMSL Instructional Technology Services - This is EdTech's counterpart at University of Missouri-St. Louis. EdTech often works with UMSL to resolve issues and collaborate on learning technologies.

eLearning Initiative - This program is sponsored by University of Missouri System to provide support for all campuses engaged in promoting increased usage of online and blended learning strategies. Currently the eLearning Initiative is sponsoring a number of eFellows as each campus to transform their courses into blended or online format.


Canvas - Official Learning Management System (LMS) for Missouri S&T. All classes have Canvas space available, though not all instructors take advantage of Canvas's many features.

Marathon Building Environments - EdTech works closely with Marathon to obtain office furnishings and classroom furnishings when redesigning learning spaces.

Turning Technologies - Integrates personal response systems (clickers) with PowerPoint software to provide instructors and students with improved interactivity within traditional classroom environments.
